REGISTERED dietitian AND CERTIFIED DIABETES CARE and EDUCATION SPECIALIST
SUSAN YOSHIMURA, RD, CDCES Susan has been a registered dietitian (RD) for over 35 years and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist for over 15 years. She worked as a CDCES at an acute hospital in the outpatient service. While working at the hospital, she mainly performed one-on-one diabetes education. In addition, Susan taught with an RN, CDCES classes on basic information on diabetes and helped with diabetes support group.
Currently, Susan works for Kaweah Delta at their rural health clinic in Exeter. In addition, she also work in Pixley and Tipton rural health clinics. For a few years, she oversaw the California Department of Public Health Sweet Success. While working there, she participated in collecting data and providing inservice training to facilities interested in the Standards of Care and speaking engagements to different organizations such as hospitals.
